How do I access meals through my NDIS plan?

Cookaborough supports NDIS participants to access rebated meals from local food businesses.
We provide a directory of local food businesses and make it easy for NDIS participants to access funding for freshly made home cooked / ready made meals.
How to access meals through an NDIS Plan
Step 1: Login to or create a Cookaborough account
Enter your email address, or login/sign up using your Google, Facebook or Apple profile.
Follow the steps to sign in or create an account if you haven't already done so.
Step 2: Browse and follow Cooks
Put your delivery address in the search bar, then click the heart icon to filter to Cooks that support NDIS participants:
Browse your available selection of Cooks. Select Cooks to follow by clicking the Follow button (with the heart icon) on their homepage:
Step 3: Go to My Account
Click on your name in the top right of the screen then click on My Account:
Click on NDIS:
Then click Apply for NDIS:
Step 4: Enter your plan details
From the drop down menu, select your plan type (Plan Managed or Self Managed):
- If you selected the Plan Managed option:
- Select the Cook(s) and fill in the remaining information in order to generate your Quote
- The Plan Manager then approves your Quote or follows up any issues
- If you selected the Self Managed option:
- Select the Cook(s) and fill in the remaining information
Step 5: Once approved, you will be able to order meals
- If you selected the Plan Managed option:
- Once approved, you will be notified and will be able to place an order whilst only paying 30% upfront
- If you selected the Self Managed option:
- For any future order, you will receive a compliant NDIS templated invoice
- You are then able to claim back 70% of the cost of your meal and delivery fee via your online NDIS Portal
